PT East West Tours and Travel (trading as Mentawai Daze) reserves the right to provide a substitute vessel should the booked vessel be unavailable for any reason. Final price charged will be as published for the substitute vessel. Substitution of a vessel qualifies passengers for a refund limited to the difference between the higher price paid and the rack rate for the substitute vessel only.

AUD$800/person deposit is needed to secure a charter booking. The balance is payable 90 days prior to the charter departure date. Failure to pay the balance as specified will result in a loss of the booking and the deposit. In the event of a cancellation where full payment has been made and not within 90 days of charter departure, Mentawaidaze will return the payment minus deposit amount. In the event of a cancellation less than 90 days before charter departure the client will forfeit full charter payment.

If a deposit has been paid for a charter and there is no response from the client after we have attempted to followup 3 times via email concerning balance of payment then the client will forfeit their deposit. 

Travel insurance with medivac component is mandatory and common sense. Mentawai is a long way from the nearest decent hospital. We recommend Surf Travel Insurance who specialise in insuring surfers travelling to the Mentawais.

The owners and operators, agents or employees of PT East West Tours and Travel assume no responsibility for any costs incurred, injury, loss 
or damage to person or property in connection to any service 
resulting directly from failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or
 depart as scheduled, pandemics, strikes, theft, civil disturbances, lost luggage including surfboards, acts of God or extreme weather. Board bags should be well labelled. We are not responsible for non or late arrival of boards.

The Captain and/or Charter Manager reserves the right to remove any passengers 
from KM D’Bora or KM Indo Satu who endangers the wellbeing and safety of the 
vessel, other passengers, and crew at any time in accordance with international maritime law.
